Fictive Archive is a project by Michael Ballou (USA), launched by Artists’ Initiative VOORKAMER, Lier. The archive is an eclectic collection of imaginary projects proposed by various participants. The projects exist purely and exclusively in their descriptive form, i.e. an invitation card in the standard VOORKAMER layout. Projects may therefore spring from this initiative without being linked to practical realization, time, budget and logic. VOORKAMER invites everyone to apply with proposals for the archive. VOORKAMER will then shape your proposal into their layout (picture and/or text); you are entitled to 1 copy that you can retrieve from VOORKAMER.
The project was launched on November 15th 2003 with the presentation of the cards realised so far. Michael Ballou gave a lecture/presentation.

Fictive Archive is een project van Michael Ballou (USA) dat opgestart wordt door kunstenaarsinitiatief VOORKAMER, Lier. Het archief is een uitdeinende verzameling van door verschillende participanten voorgestelde, imaginaire projecten. Deze projecten bestaan louter en alleen in hun beschrijvende vorm, d.i. als een uitnodigingskaart met standaard lay-out van VOORKAMER. Op deze manier kunnen projecten ontstaan die niet gebonden zijn aan practische realiseerbaarheid, tijd, budget en logica. VOORKAMER nodigt iedereen uit om voorstellen in te dienen voor dit archief. VOORKAMER giet uw voorstel in hun lay-out (beeld en/of tekst) en 1 exemplaar hiervan kan afgehaald worden.
Op 15 november 2003 startte dit project met een voorstelling van tot nog toe gerealiseerde kaartjes. Michael Ballou gaf toen een lezing/voorstelling.

Fictive Archive est un projet de Michael Ballou (USA) lancé par VOORKAMER, Initiative d’Artistes, à Lierre. Ces archives se composent d’une collection éclectique de projets imaginaires proposés par divers participants. Ces projets existent purement et simplement à l’état de description, notamment sous forme d’une carte d’invitation adoptant la présentation standard de VOORKAMER. De cette manière, toute une série de projets peuvent naître sans être reliés à une réalisation concrète, à des délais, à un budget et à une logique, quels qu’ils soient. VOORKAMER invite tout le monde à proposer des projets pour ces archives. VOORKAMER peut ainsi remodeler votre proposition (une image et/ou un texte) dans le lay-out de VOORKAMER et vous pourrez venir en retirer un exemplaire.
Ce projet à commencer le 15 novembre 2003 par une présentation des cartes réalisées à ce jour. A cette occasion, Michael Ballou à donnez une conférence/présentation.
